Welcome! Thank you for stopping by my website. My name is Meg Farrell. I’m a wife, mom, grandmother to TRIPLETS, author, and general do-all-the-things kind of person. My interests are varied.
In 2019, my daughter’s best friend was getting married. We showed up to rehearsal to assist the family with preparations only to be met with panic. Her mother and sisters were frantically looking for an officiant. Why? The pastor overbooked himself and backed out… right before the rehearsal. I jumped into the search but we all came up empty-handed. To say the rest is history is rather cliche, but it’s true.
It became clear to me that this is an ongoing problem. Beyond booking concerns of having limited officiants available to perform services during the busy seasons, there seems to be a great amount of judgement at play when your traditional officiants won’t perform a marriage ceremony. This is not something you have to worry about with me.
To me, this was an opportunity to help people in a meaningful way.
